Adhemar joined RINA in 2019 and currently he is the Director of Power & Renewables for RINA Consulting for the Americas. He has more than 22 years of experience in the electricity sector. Before he worked for Duke Energy an US utility company and later for Orazul Energy (owned by I Squared Capital a global infrastructure investment manager) as Managing Director responsible for the optimization of 4,300 MW portfolio of generation assets in Latin America improving the commercial, financial and technical performance. Adhemar has an extensive knowledge of Latin American power deregulated markets and their regulatory frameworks. He actively works in several energy markets in Latin America and the Caribbean: Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Brazil, Peru, Colombia, Ecuador, Guatemala, El Salvador, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic. His main areas of expertise are power systems, deregulated energy markets, regulations, dispatch models, commercial structuring of PPAs/FSAs/EPCs/LTSAs, feasibility analysis and development of power generation projects including gas generation, LNG, hydro, and renewable resources (onshore wind, PV Solar, and BESS), risk management, valuation, budgeting and forecast.  He participated in the valuation of several generation companies from Non-Binding Offers to full DD for Binding offers up to $10 billion. Adhemar is native Spanish speaker, fluent in English and comprehension in Portuguese. He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of San Juan in Argentina.
