Capt. Brett Palmer

President Lake Charles Pilots

BIO

Capt. Brett Palmer began his maritime career in 1974 while working on Sea Going tugs.

He continued in the maritime field by attending Texas A&M Maritime Academy.  He received double degrees in Marine Transportation and Marine Technology.

Capt. Palmer has been employed on many types of vessels, including Tankers, Drill Ships, Tugs, and Research vessels.  He has worked in some of the most inclement seas in the world, ranging from the North Sea near the Artic Circle to Bass Straights off the coast of Australia.

Capt. Palmer has been with the Lake Charles Pilots for 30 years.  For the last 8 years, He has been the President for the Lake Charles Pilots.
