BIO
Maas Hinz is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer with over 20 years of experience in the LNG industry, including projects throughout Europe, Australia, the Middle East and United States. Maas held positions at Shell and Woodside prior to joining Cheniere at the Sabine Pass Facility in 2016, the year the facility exported the first commercial LNG cargo from the lower-48 states. Since then, he led both the Maintenance and Production departments at the terminal, before moving into the role of Vice President and General Manager of the Sabine Pass Facility, the largest LNG export facility in the United States.
Maas is a native of Australia but studied at Colorado State University, where he met his wife, Mandi, who is enjoying being back in the United States after many years abroad.
